Good Afternoon Chapter Leaders! Can you believe we are almost in September?
Where did August go?
Okay, I was just in LA for a week.
Had a blast.
Got to see the red carpet for the Creative Arts Emmys (snapped a photo of Robin Williams), met Wolfgang Puck and ate at Spago's plus heard Cyndi Lauper in special concert for our group.
The meeting I attended wasn't too bad either. ;-)
Now it's time to get back to work.
And a special welcome to all of our new members. (There have been a ton lately!)

As well as Upcoming Webinar Playdates Seize the Opportunity
The next four or so weeks are a magical time for those in North America who want to recruit new members.
A window of opportunity opens when back to school hits.
Many families run their calendars on a school year.
New time shows up as kids shift schools and businesses lean into post summer vacation focus.
Three things you can do to seize the opportunity
Make sure your first two meetings of fall absolutely rock.
People will be shopping and you want them to say "yes" to you.
Be extra inviting.
Be excited about the chapter and make sure you invite your members and potential guests to your party - aka chapter meeting.
Do your follow up.
People will be tire-kicking. Invite them to experience another slice of your chapter. Get them an involvement buddy. Stay in touch to close the deal.
A warm welcome and focus on reaching out to others will give your chapter a membership boost this fall!

Update on Stops for the 2011 Lazy Leader Road Show
I'm trying to figure out what happened with this survey.
For the last two weeks I asked for suggestions about where to do stops for the Lazy Leader Road Show - a half day training to help you create a surplus of volunteers for your chapter.
I had some cities that were quite enthusiastic and had several people recommend them.
But I didn't have as many cities proposed as I expected.
I'm not sure if it was an end of summer, didn't see it deal - or if there really aren't 20 cities in America that need that kind of training.
I've kept the survey open in case you want to suggest your city.
It's basically two questions - and one is the name of the city.
